About Mar

Update 18th Dec - Mar, like her older friend Grandma, is very much enjoying the new relative comforts she has in residencia kennels under the care of Corinna. She has found the comfiest spots to have a snooze and enjoys pottering around with all the other dogs and waiting to see if anyone would like to give her a tasty treat!
Mar gets along with all the other dogs, looks like she will be cat trainable and is happy to trust a human who shows her patience and care. We still feel that Mar may be older than the 7-8 years old that her passport claims, but sometimes, with the right TLC, they start to look younger and younger as time goes on :)
Hopefully we can get a loving home for Mar - she's only little and wouldn't take up much sofa space!
Mar and Grandma both look to be podenco crosses. We have been asked to help as they have so far spent their whole life in a perrera, no soft beds or blankets, concrete floors and only the basic necessities available for them. The visiting volunteers do their very best to give all the dogs some attention, but as you all know, it's a drop in the ocean.

Mar is the younger at 7 or 8 years old. We would have estimated her age much older, but she did come into the perrera in 2017 and was a very young dog then, so it's unlikely her estimated age is far wrong. Mar could be a completely different dog in a home with lots of TLC and could have many many more years left to enjoy.
Both girls are quite timid, but not terrified, so will just need a quiet loving home where their adopters will give them time and patience to adjust to their new lives.
Both girls seem absolutely unbothered by cats.
Mar and Grandma have their own albums and can be homed separately or together.
