Update 22/1/25 - We're very happy to report that Lyra is now definitely getting less nervous, perhaps down to her sister Mariposa being in residence with her now, but possibly she has just learned to trust. She loves the other dogs and also loves following Corinna around in hopes of a little pet or a tasty treat. She comes when called and walks well on the lead. She will play with the other dogs and run around for a bit, but her favourite things are a warm spot on the sofa or, even better, a sunny spot outside to snooze in, she really does love her sunbathing. She is a truly beautiful girl and we want her to be homed with at least one other confident friendly dog. Untested with cats but we suspect from her gentle nature that she will be cat workable.
Update 18th Dec - Lyra has been settling into residencia kennels with Corinna for a couple of months now and, though still a very timid girl, is more relaxed and starting to trust a bit more now. Lyra is a medium to large size and is 6 years old. Her sister Mariposa will be joining her from Tenerife very soon. We would like a calm home with at least one other friendly resident dog to help Lyra gain her confidence in a home, but we feel she is going to make a wonderful family member for the right family. Bloods are all clear. Untested with cats.
