Update 18th Dec - Lira, our big, beautiful Canario girl has also been in our care in residencia kennels for a couple of months now and is a real character. Lira is 3 years old and, as you can see from the photos, she gets on great with dogs of all shapes and sizes and is very friendly with humans too. She loves her food, LOVES to run about burning off energy and likes to tell everyone when it is dinnertime and they aren't moving fast enough for her liking! Lira is a lovely natured girl who walks well on the lead and is super confident.
We are looking for a home where Lira will have the opportunity for big walks, runs and hikes as she builds her fitness and a family who will give her lots of mental stimulation too because she is a typical intelligent, inquisitive podenca.
Lyra definitely has a prey drive and cannot live with cats or small furries. She can also jump in typical pod fashion and would make a swift exit over most walls if a squirrel showed its cheeky face.
Healthy and blood tested clear.
