About Schnuki

Update June 2026- schnuki has taken a little longer to feel confident in home life but now she’s really starting to blossom and her cheeky personality come through. She loves to potter in the garden and definitely needs on in her new forever home. Schnuki can be nervous still so will need someone to allow her to adjust at her own pace. She would like another calm doggy friend to help her with confidence. She likes coming for a cuddle and although may never be the type to sit and snuggle in she does enjoy the attention and then will happily snooze on the sofa or take herself to her crate. She settles well on the house and sometimes likes to collect your shoes and slippers in her bed πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Shes such a wonderful girl but Al just needs an adult quieter household to relax in to πŸ’›30/12/25 - Schnuki has now been in foster for a few weeks with a very experienced foster family who are also fostering her sister Noodle, and have 4 of their own dogs too. Here's what foster mum has to say about Schnuki Schnuki. Very nervous girl. This causes her to be flighty and bark. Sleeps either in her crate (open door) in the bedroom or in the dog den. Barks at and avoids visitors. Spends a lot of time in her crate in the living room, likes a safe space. Some guarding of food and treats with other dogs (just barking and occasionally chasing, no contact). Eats well. Will run away if you walk towards her. Still shut down on walks. Does like a pet but she will come to you when you're seated. Occasionally comes up onto the sofa or bed for pets. Gets on with the other dogs. Barks at passerbys in the garden. She wants to be brave but she's just not there yet. As it stands she will need an experienced rescue home. House training going well but you need to be more vigilant as she just glances at the door when needing out! Still occasional accident in mornings and if you're out. Happy to be left for a few hours with other dogs, mostly just says in her crate. Definitely needs a home with a garden so she can get some exercise while getting her used to walks. Update 3/10/25 Schnuki and the pups have arrived. All well and settling in at Corinna's Schnuki is one of the 6 galgo x podenco puppies we have reserved from the perrera along with their mum, auntie and 4 other adults. Schnuki is 3-4 months and will have her final rabies vaccine this week then we will move her to her new residencia kennels until she gets a place on the Happy Van
