Update Feb 26 - Moracho has been in foster in England for a couple of weeks now and is settling in well. He is respectful of the resident dog, loves a pet and his creature comforts and walks well on the lead (unless he sees a squirrel!) More info to follow as his foster mum assesses him Update - Aug 25 - Moracho is ready to find his forever home now. He is still shy with new people so needs someone patient to let him go at his own pace. Moracho wants a peaceful life and won't do well with over-boisterous dogs who will challenge him and get in his space. He lives happily with galgo Sonny who is a laid back chap, so a home either as an only dog, or with calm, confident (non dominant) canine pal. Moracho can be very strong on the lead despite not being a spring chicken, so applicant should ideally not be a tiny waif of a human! : )
Moracho is one of 2 galgos that were being disposed of by the hunter. Jacky from Tanamera shelter put out a call for help and PINS said we would take on the boys. Moracho is the older one at 8 years old, he, too, is a lovely calm boy. Moracho is neutered and blood tested clear so is ready for sofa life. No cats
