About Mama Lou

Update - Mama Lou (or just Lou) has been in foster for a few weeks now and is slowly gaining confidence around new people and dogs. She is quite a shy girl until she knows you though, and, unusually for pods, she is much more a daddy's girl and so we will definitely be looking for a home where there is at least one "dog friendly male human" She is very respectful of her foster siblings and her friends, the McLeod pack, who she meets for walks and play sessions frequently. Lou will need a quiet home with patient people who are happy to let her go at her own pace. Another friendly resident dog would definitely be a bonus because she learns to trust humans by watching how another dog interacts with them.
Mama Lou is a beautiful little Podenca Andaluz who is mum the the 9 pups we took on during the floods.
All 10 dogs are VERY scared at present, and we have taken the decision to move some to different places so that the volunteers are able to spend more time on each dog, getting them used to humans.
Mama Lou is thought to be just 2 years old and, as you can see, is a timid little girl who would really benefit from getting a home offer.
We don't know very much about her as yet, but will be looking for a calm, quiet home where the humans have epxerience of nervous and timid dogs and who can give her the time and space to support her as she gains in confidence.
As with all our timid ones, we will be looking for a home with at least one friendly, confident resident dog who she can learn from
