Update 18th Dec - Cholo has been in foster for around a month now and is ready to find his forever home. He has settled really well, clean in the house, eats well, gets on well with the resident dogs who are also sighthounds. He walks well on the lead and is happy to meet and greet dogs and humans when he is out and about on walks. Cholo does have a prey drive when he sees pesky squirrels, so not a home with small furries for him. Cholo's bloods have been repeated since he arrived and all looks well with him, his leish remains inactive.
Cholo has settled in to foster now and doing so well. He is a very friendly boy and loves people. He gets on well with other dogs and would like another dog or dogs for company.
A quiet home suit him best, hes a gentle boy who likes to be close to his people.
No cats or small furries
Cholo arrived in foster November time - on arrival he is social with everyone he meets , greets big and small dogs nicely. Walks well on lead and is enjoying all the cuddles and sofa snoozes
Update from Roberto - Cholo is calm, obedient and always look for contact with me, walks by my side being loose, and also walks well with the lead, is friendly and confident with people and other dogs. Cholo is also still finishing his medication for leish so should hopefully be ready to travel in the summer
Cholo is the fourth of the galgos in our big rescue. Cholo's Galgo Angel is Caro Mitchell who has sponsored him and Pantera. Safe now and settling into residencia kennels with Roberto. Blood tested and Cholo has tested positive for leish so is having a course of treatment and will be retested in June, after which, hopefully he will be fit and ready to find his forever home
